The Cabinet of Malaysia on 16th October 2002 formally approved a memorandum submitted by the Ministry of Education to set up Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI) in Bertam, Penang. Currently, the main office of AMDI is located at Bandar Putra Bertam, Kepala Batas, Penang.
