Behaviour Science Cluster and Brain Science Cluster has been officially launched on 2nd January 2009 by the Director of Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI), Dr. Haji Ramli Saad, during his annual speech. It is among the twelve research clusters established in AMDI.

In line with our parent organization; Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) momentum to serve the 4 billion people who will have difficulties to buy medication now and future, we are placing our research focus to establish non-invasive therapies that optimizes human five senses to modulate brain activity towards person wellness. As similar to an approach taken in pharmacogenetics by relating disease to genome, first stage of our studies would be to profile individuals senses modulated behaviour and trace it to their brain activities. Close collaboration from researchers of diverse fields, e.g. musician, physiotherapist, electronic engineer, chemist, psychologist, neurologist, computer scientist and many more will be needed to realize the mission of this team in next 10 years. The team to realize our ambition is named “Senses Psyche Research Team”
